Ventura Botanical Gardens

Ventura Botanical Gardens is a 107-acre property with breathtaking views of the California coastline, verdant agricultural landscapes, the Channel Islands, and Ojai's Topa Topa mountain. The Gardens symbolize the 5 distinct climate zones of the world, Chile, the Cape of South Africa, Southern Australia, the Mediterranean Basin, and California, with a 40-year master plan and over 30,000 species already planted. The collection attempts to reproduce plant communities from five distinct climatic zones throughout the globe. These temperate zones with minimal precipitation, such as Ventura, enable for long-term viability.
