What is Teeth Bonding?

Dental bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that utilizes a composite resin material that matches the color of the patient's teeth to enhance the appearance of the smile. Additionally, tooth bonding can be used to repair gaps, chips, and fractures in teeth, and is an affordable option for teeth repairs.

What are the Types of Teeth Bonding?

Indirect bonding is used for attaching crowns, copings, and veneers, and it accelerates the bracket assembly process by positioning each bracket correctly on its corresponding tooth.

Direct Dental Bonding uses durable composite materials for the repair of damaged or chipped teeth or for changing the appearance of teeth to improve the smile.

How is Dental Bonding Done?

During the dental bonding procedure, the dentist will prepare the tooth surface by roughening it, and then apply a special solution that aids in adhesion. A tooth-colored, putty-like resin material is then applied and molded to the desired shape. The material is then hardened using a bright light or laser.

What are the Benefits of Tooth Bonding?

Dental bonding not only enhances the appearance of teeth but also provides protection and improves oral health by preventing discoloration. It is a great solution for addressing aesthetic concerns such as tooth size, shape, and function. The restorations provided by tooth bonding can also help improve overall oral health.
